Q. I'm planning on coming to Charleston Cycle Fest but don't want to bring my bike. Where can I rent a bike?

Q: What is weather like in November in Charleston?
A: The weather ranges from chilly to a warm summer feel. See Charleston Seasonal Weather Averages for a
better idea. We will send you an update of the weather forecast the week of the event, or see our home page
for current weather information.
Q: Is this a kid-friendly event?
A: Absolutely! Charleston Cycle Fest is an event the entire family can enjoy. There are short options available
for kids and those not wishing to ride far as well as family films, and special activities for kids. Please see our
Kids Page for more details.
Q. I'm vegetarian, will there be vegetarian options available?
A. YES! When you order your meals in advance you will have the option of selecting "Vegetarian" or "Vegan" as
a preference. We will also recommend a the only all-vegan local restaurant Soul Vegetarian South: All the items on
the menu at the Soul Vegetarian South are, naturally, vegetarian. Most items are vegan as well, and all are served in a relaxed atmosphere with

Q: I am a bicycle vendor who is interested in participating, Who should I contact?

Q: Where is there a local bike shop where I can pick up something last minute or have my Bicycle checked out?
A: See Charleston Bicycle Shops for info on all area bike shops that will happily serve you.
Q: Do you give refunds?
A: No. This is a charity event and is managed by a small staff of primarily volunteers. If you are unable to make
the event your can either transfer your registration to another rider or offer your registration as a scholarship.
Q. Where do I inquire about a scholarship?
A: If you would like to participate in the event but are financially unable you can ask for a scholarship.

Q: What is the terrain of the rides?
A: Flat. Very Flat.
Q: Will we need money for meals?
A: You can purchase a meal pass for Thursday Diner through Sunday’s breakfast or you can choose to do meals
on your own.
Q: Can friends and family participate in the festival and events?
A: Yes, there are plenty of activities for children and non-riders to participate in and numerous suggestions on
our website of fun things to do in Charleston.
Q: Is there a fee for non-riders?
A: There is no special fee for non-riders. Non-riders who would like meals need to buy a meal pass. Non-riders
are welcome to attend other CCF activities with their rider family and friends.
Q. Is the camping fee by camper or by site?
A: The camping fee is per campsite for primitive tent camping and for RV and pop-up sites.
Q: Is there hotel accommodations nearby?
A: Yes. Charleston Cycle Fest has a special hotel rate starting at $52/night for rooms with 1 queen bed and $64
for oversize rooms with 2 queen beds. This is an unbelievable rate that the Howard Johnson Riverfront is
offering and they are located less than 300 yards from the center of CCF activities. See http://hojocharlestonsc.

Q: If I camp where do I park?
A: Parking for camping will be in the Joe Riley Stadium Parking Lot, just a couple hundred yards away from the
campsite. See DIRECTIONS for a map and directions to the campsite.

A: Festivelo and Charleston Cycle Fest are merging for the first year
ever! Why?: We wanted to make the best use of our volunteers,
supporters, and community to produce the most quality event
